Brighten Our Community with Sidewalk Chalk Art
Posted 04/12/2020 10:44PM

Now that we spend much of our time at home, it's hard to decide how to fill our days and be active. Creating chalk art on your driveway is not only a fun way to be outdoors, but can also be a source of positivity for our communities! It would be great if you could join others in our Evergreen neighborhood in pouring your creativity, artistry, and empathy into driveway art, from writing positive messages to drawing beautiful images. Here are a few safety tips:

  • Work with members in your household (don't invite your friends over!)
  • Stay away from the curb and watch out for cars
  • Bonus: Wear knee pads if possible!

For parents or guardians, if you want to share your child's chalk masterpieces on Twitter or Instagram, please be sure to use #EvergreenDriveway so others can appreciate them too! Hopefully we'll soon be able to take a stroll around the neighborhood and see inspiring messages that bring us hope and remind us that Evergreen is a great place to be.

Also, send a picture to Dr. Nguyen at hnguyen@eesd.org to post on our social media page.

Have fun and be safe.
