Budget Advisory Committee - vacancy

The Evergreen School District is accepting applications from parents or community members interested in filling one vacant position on the Budget Advisory Committee. The Committee is comprised of 15 community members representing the following groups: parents/community members (5), teachers (4), classified employees (3), and administrators (3). Committee members will learn about the District's budget development process, share information with respective stakeholder groups and make appropriate recommendations for the Superintendent's consideration in the Budget Development Process.

The tentative remaining committee meeting dates for 2017/18 are as follows:

April 19, 2018

June 7, 2018

All meetings are from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm in Phyllis Lindstrom Technology Learning Center, 3188 Quimby Rd., San Jose

If you are a parent or community member and are interested in helping on this committee, please submit a letter of interest to Nelly Yang, Chief Business Officer at nyang@eesd.org. Be sure to include your education and/or experiences in the field of accounting or finance; your experiences, if any, working in schools or the public sector; and your desire for serving.

All letters must be received at the District Office by 4:00 p.m. on March 19, 2018. Applicants will be contacted for follow-up interviews before the April 19 committee meeting.
