Last Friday marked the midpoint of the fourth quarter. Progress grades will be available midweek in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Here what you need to remember with "grades" right now:
- Progress report grades are not official. Students have the rest of the semester to increase or maintain scores. Only final quarter grades are included in transcripts.
- A "pass" does not mean your child is working to his or her potential. Distance learning has its challenges, but keep a keen eye focused on whether your child is pushing himself or herself to ensure learning continues.
- A "no mark" is not a fail. The "NM" or "No Mark" score is just that. It means your child has not done enough work to reach the "pass" or he/she has faced other challenges getting connected to distance learning.
- There is still four weeks left. Use this time to solidify strong learning habits. If anything, distance learning has taught us that learning is more important than grades. Your child has a lot of time left to establish strong habits and make the most of these challenging times.
Reach out to your child's teachers or the admin team if you need support. We are here to help.
Below are a few other reminders. Reach out for anything.
